My Own Guilty Pleasures

10 Devine Guilty Pleasures
(since I don't have a man [not that I'm complaining] it'll be my own guilty pleasures)

1. Spending 15 minutes in the tanning bed (no phone, no computer, no one knocking on the door)

2. A glass of wine (no one else in my house drinks it... so it's just me... and mine)

3. Going browsing at the book store

4. Getting a tattoo... I know I don't need another one, but honestly, it's like therapy to me...

5. Buying a bag of jelly beans and eating all the yellow ones out

6. Buying myself flowers when I need a pick-me-up.

7. Blogging, when I should be doing my homework.

8. Watching reruns on TV, even though I have seen them a hundred times... when I should be doing homework...

9. Going out for a glass of wine and pizza with a pal when I am home by myself.

10. Sitting down and having cheese and crackers for dinner.

10 reasons my kid has it good

1.  He has clothes to wear (they may not always be clean... but that's HIS issue, not mine!)

2. He has a tv in his room.

3. He doesn't really have a curfew (unless it gets out of hand) because he tends to fall asleep without much difficulty.

4. I don't yell when he takes a 3-hour bath.

5. He has input on the grocery shopping.

6. I don't make him eat foods he doesn't like.

7. He is allowed to hang out with friends.

8. He doesn't overdo his cell phone privileges... hell, it's not unusual for the battery to be dead for two days before he charges it!

9. He knows where my boundaries are and what not to cross.

10. I will defend him to the end and he knows I will protect him...  I AM MOM!!!

10 THINGS I AM NOT GOOD AT...

1. Being completely patient. Yes, I can be... but do I want to be?

2. Telling people "No". My brain can say "no" all it wants, but my mouth always ends up spitting out "Sure, I can do that!"

3. Not Procrastinating. I wait until the 23rd hour for pretty much everything possible... homework, christmas shopping, preparing for a party, etc. You name it. If there is a "last minute" I WILL find it.

4.  Stepping out of my comfort zone.

5.  Speaking to crowds, or even being a part of a large group.

6.  Telling people about my business - which makes it difficult to let anyone know what I do and what I have to offer... Guess I really need to work on this one!

7. Cooking a meal on the fly... can't just come up with something - would rather have nothing than try to figure something out.

8.  Doing things on the spur of the moment - I need to have a plan.

9.  Singing... which is why I sing all by myself in the car!

10.  TAKING TIME FOR MYSELF!

10 REASONS I KNOW MY PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASS REUNION WOULD ROCK

1. The boys let me play kickball with them.
2. The boys let me play baseball because I had my own glove... and had a strong throwing arm... for a girl.
3. We were all pretty innocent and still wore plaid!
4. We weren't afraid to cry.
5. We could still play hopscotch and not break a leg!
6. Recess rocked - we had fun.
7. Everyone got along and there were no cliques.
8. We were all friends
9. No one was a bully
10. We didn't mind using our Dukes of Hazzard Lunch Box!
